:) Adventures of the Daddy of the whole “dad”-burn Zoo :)

The start of something?

Last night I heard the fire alarm at the mill with the sound of the fire trucks.  Shortly after that I heard the release of allot of steam.  This morning when I went to work I found out that a transformer had blown and half of the mill had lost power.  We had lost power to the Boise machine (the other machine is a tissue machine and is owned by Cascades Tissue Group) and to the roll wrap and shipping warehouse.  The complete pulp operations were completely shut down by the outage.  So I have spent part of the day at home doing some Boise work and some job hunting.

We have had a big storm move through the area.  Luckly we were spared the worst of the storm.   Just 30 miles north though people are looking back to the flood of 1996.  In that year almost everything flooded including the Columbia River itself.  In that flood the Boise mill was completely shut down and most of it was under water.

We have a great ward.  They brought us dinner tonight.  We have had friends that brought us dinner the last two nights.  As you can see Mother is getting her spunky-ness back and Bella is looking too grown up feeding the little one.  Ava is doing good also.  The whole family is adjusting to being back to together.

I hope you enjoy the pictures of today.  I took them just as the sun was starting to go down.

  1. Everyone looks really great… especially that hot wifey of yours. Anyhow, I’ve been worried about the flooding up there. I wasn’t sure how close it was to you guys. Hopefully you are “high” enough and if not, I’m sure Holly has some drugs you can take to make you feel like you are!!! hehehehe
